Ecumenical Carol Service

On Sunday 19th December 2010, an ecumenical carol service took place in the Church of Our Lady & St. John, Carrigaline, Co. Cork, Ireland 

Parishioners from St Mary’s Church of Ireland and Our Lady & St John, Catholic Church, joined together to hear readings, prayers and to sing Christmas carols. The music was led by Mr. Jim Kelly, Mr. Donal Power, Mr. Frank Garvey, the Carrigaline Folk Group, the Carrigaline Youth Choir and the Carrigaline Gospel Choir. Both Reverent David Armstrong and Fr Bertie O’Mahony spoke to the congregation and prayed that the two communities would continue to grow and that the friendship between them would remain strong.
