Busy Autumn 2010 Term for Carrigaline Gospel Choir

The Carrigaline Gospel Choir have been very busy since they started back in September 2010. Their weekly practices are action packed as they prepare their material for the various occasions that they perform at.

On the first and third Saturday’s of the month at the 8pm vigil mass, in Carrigaline, you can hear the Gospel Choir sing at their regular bi monthly mass. Children preparing for confirmation in 2011 have also had the pleasure of hearing the choir sing at their preparation masses.
They recently joined forces with the Frankfield Gospel Choir to sing at mass in Carrigaline at the beginning of November. A number of extra practises for both Frankfield and Carrigaline choirs were required as they learned some of each other’s material.
Last Sunday’s regular mass goers at St. Patrick’s Church, Rochestown Road, heard Fr. Michael Keohane tell them ” we are blessed to have such wonderful singing in the seemingly gloomy times we are in,” as many of the Carrigaline Gospel Choir sang at 12.30pm mass for them.
December is a looking to be a busy month ahead – practicing Christmas songs, preparing new material and maybe a few extra performances. You can hear the Carrigaline Gospel Choir at Our Lady and St John’s Church, Carrigaline on Saturday next December 4th at 8pm mass.
